Though artificial intelligence may be the key to a prosperous and flourishing future, it also poses significant risks. Fathom Radiant was founded using first-principles thinking to build hardware that can enable artificial general intelligence for the benefit of all.

We don't consider the beneficial advancement of AI to be inevitable, and as a company providing a crucial layer in the AI technology stack, we believe we can make a difference in how safely advanced AI systems are developed and deployed.

As a public benefit corporation, we are bound by our charter to help mitigate the risks that our technology creates and ensure that its benefits are shared by all. To pursue these goals we have chosen to establish an independent ethics board, collaborate with other groups focused on beneficial AI development, and investigate policies for using computer hardware to help steer AI progress in a safer direction.
