Apollo is looking for an in-house filmmaker and video expert with a deep portfolio showcasing your skill and ability across every aspect of video creation, including pre-production, production, and post-production.
As a magician with animation and motion graphics, a dynamo behind a camera and expert in the editing booth, you will play a critical role on our content marketing team, helping Apollo make full use of the power of video across our customer journey.
You’ll work closely with writers, designers, marketers, and product managers to create impactful videos wherever they are needed, with a primary focus on product-centric content that will help our 1M+ users be successful with the Apollo platform. Beyond that, you’ll work on documentary-style shorts showcasing our extraordinary customers and partners, ads for our marketing campaigns, and more – you’ll always have a robust pipeline of interesting and important projects on your plate.
Reporting to the Head of Content Marketing, the ideal candidate for this role has a background as a videographer, filmmaker, or animator, either in-house at a b2b company or agency. You’re an exceptional project manager, director, and collaborator, with a deep portfolio that showcases your range as a visual storyteller and a particularly impressive skill set in animation, 3D, and motion graphics.
Successful candidate portfolios will include a variety of content and formats, including product-centric animations and screen-capture videos, ads, short-form documentaries, narrative projects, and more.
Responsibilities:
Working with other members of the marketing team and across Apollo as needed, in the first 6 months on the job, this person will create at least the following:
- A 2-minute overview video of Apollo that will live on our homepage
- A 20-minute ‘deep cut’ overview of the Apollo platform
- 2-minute videos for each of the products within Apollo, including; Prospecting, Enrichment, Engagement, Intelligence, Plays, and Scheduling
- Video editions of “Meet the World’s Best Sellers”
- Video editions of “Inside Sales at the World’s Best Companies”
- Sub 5-minute recaps of each of Apollo’s content-led webinars
This role is fully remote (but based out of the US) and may require travel as part of the production process.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as an end-to-end filmmaker or videographer, including expertise in:
- Camera operation and video capture
- Lighting
- Sound
- Motion graphics/animation
- Editing
- Expert-level ability in editing tools such as Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, and video effects software such as Adobe After Effects
- A portfolio showcasing your ability, preferably including b2b content such as product explainer and how-to videos, ads, case studies, interviews etc.
- Exceptional project-management skills
- Expert written and verbal communication
- The ability to consistently set and hit deadlines
