What you’ll do

• Responsible for the full set of accounting and finance functions in Malaysia, individual contributor role reporting to Singapore HQ
• Finance operations – AP/AR/GL and accounts reconciliation process, payroll processing, domestic taxes reporting, crypto transactions accounting, intercompany transactions etc.
• Reporting – Preparation of accounting/audit schedules, month-end close activities, cash flow projections, financial statements/management reporting and analysis, group reporting schedules, consolidation experience/knowledge will be a plus
• Tax – corporate tax reporting (e.g. sales tax, service tax, withholding tax, stamp duties), corporate tax filing and compliance, transfer pricing compliance, individual tax and contributions (e.g. EPF, SOCSO, EIS)
• Lead internal/external audit processes, regulatory filings/annual returns, and support compliance activities including regulatory applications
• Work on process improvement projects
• Work with BI tools – Tableau, SQL, Python experience will be a plus
• Location: Menara 1 Sentrum, Kuala Lumpur

What you’ll need

• Degree in accounting/finance/banking, and/or professional certification (e.g. ACCA, CA, CPA)
• 4 to 5 years of relevant experience, prior experience working in Big 4 or audit firms is advantageous
• Strong interest in industry developments, especially surrounding regulatory and technical updates (e.g. IFRS, tax developments, domestic regulatory developments)
• Experience in financial services, fintech, or crypto industry will be a plus
• Good English written and verbal communication skills, Chinese and Malay reading and conversational skills will be an advantage
• Proficient in MS Excel – lookups, pivot tables, conditional formulas
• Self-driven, meticulous, organized, team player
• Willingness to adapt, be versatile, and take on tasks outside of pre-defined job scope to solve problems
• Passionate about the crypto industry
